Datalogic Debuts Wireless Charging Technologyat NRF 2019 2018-12-29 12:41:00

Datalogic, a global leader in automatic data capture and industrial automation markets, will showcase wireless charging technology at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Big Show 2019 scheduled to be held at NYC from January 13-15, 2019.


Recognized globally as a retail industry innovator and technology leader, Datalogic continually enhances retail technology. At NRF 2019, Datalogic will feature two new products with industry leading wireless charging technology that addresses one of the industry’s greatest challenges – device downtime from lack of charge, broken contacts, or other maladies resulting from traditional wired charging.


Retailers rely on technology to deliver fast service, accurate inventories, quick payment, and other services. Devices such as mobile computers and wireless scanners are crucial to delivering these benefits to the enterprise and customers. These devices require regular charging to ensure consistent operation.


With thousands of devices deployed throughout the enterprise, retailers face logistical and tactical challenges to ensure devices are charged. Each device may require a charging adapter and cable creating a mountain of equipment to manage, maintain, and store. Plugging and unplugging charging cables wears contacts, connector, and cables. Contacts on mobile devices are a source of failure and generate one of the highest causes for downtime and repair.


Datalogic attacked the charging issue and is the only manufacturer in the rugged mobile industry to offer wireless charging on its devices. At NRF 2019 Datalogic will present the new Memor 1 mobile computer, Memor 10 rugged PDA, Joya Touch A6 retail computer, and the Gryphon 4500 handheld scanner on display each featuring innovative Datalogic wireless charging technology. These devices deliver many benefits over wired charged devices including:
